The High-Output Supercharged 5.2L V8 of the Raptor R manages a comparable 700 horsepower and 640 lb-ft of torque.

Plus, they both provide multiple ways to load up and access their truck beds. The Ram 1500 makes an available multifunction tailgate. This 60/40 split gate can open like a set of doors—even when you have a trailer attached—or drop down like a traditional tailgate and can support up to 2,000 pounds of weight. Similarly, the F-150 now has the option of a Pro-Access Tailgate.

You can even load up the walls of your truck bed thanks to the class-exclusive RamBox® Cargo Management System, which is only available with the Ram 1500. These built-in storage compartments are lighted and feature their own locks, so they’re a perfect spot to store tools and valuables. They even include their own drains, which makes it easy to rinse them out—or turn them into portable coolers! Thirsty, anyone?

You can feel comfortable hitching a large trailer, some recreational vehicles, or a boat to both powerful trucks. The Ram 1500 and the Ford F-150 even offer trailering features such as Trailer Reverse Steering Control. This available feature simplifies reversing by letting you steer your trailer with the integrated trailer steering knob. The system will control the steering wheel for you simultaneously.
